Security Monitoring Center

Our highly trained Security Monitoring Center personnel are dedicated to providing your home and business with the most responsive and reliable security monitoring service available.  Because your alarm system is designed to provide you with the best protection possible, we recommend you take the following actions in the event an alarm is triggered.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR ALARM SYSTEM SOUNDS?

When an alarm signal is received at our Security Monitoring Center, we will attempt to call your home or business telephone number to make sure everything is all right.  Upon verification of your pass code and assurance from you that help is not needed, we will cancel the signal from our system.

On a two-way interactive audio verification system, an operator will speak through your alarm panel speakers to make sure everything is all right.  Upon verification of your pass code and assurance from you that help is not needed, the operator will cancel the signal from your system.

If you are signed up for enhanced verification, an alternate number also will be called prior to dispatching emergency personnel.  Again, upon verification of your pass code and assurance from someone that help is not needed, we will cancel the signal from your security alarm system.  If our Security Monitoring Center operator does not receive verbal assurance with a valid pass code, then emergency personnel will be dispatched for assistance.

When a FIRE signal is received at our Security Monitoring Center, an operator will immediately dispatch emergency fire personnel to your home or business.

If a MEDICAL EMERGENCY signal is received at our Security Monitoring Center and we can not contact anyone on your premises, an ambulance will be dispatched. NO PASS CODE IS REQUIRED.

When a PANIC signal is received emergency personnel are dispatched immediately.  NO CONTACT IS ATTEMPTED.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

  1. Don’t panic.
  2. Follow your own emergency action plan.
  3. If the alarm was set off accidentally, carefully disarm your system per your system’s instructions.
  4. After you reset your system, DON’T ATTEMPT TO CALL OUR MONITORING CENTER.  We will contact you to verify the alarm status.  We will ask for your pass code.
  5. Don’t leave your house or business until you have spoken with our security monitoring center and assured us there is no emergency.

We recommend you test your security alarm system at once a month.  To do so just call Guardian Protective Services monitoring center at 800-972-4827.  One of our representatives will give you instructions on how to test your system.  Be sure to call our center before you try to test your system to avoid any false alarm signals.
